Jeff Mercado is a Emmy award-winning producer + commercial and editorial photographer based in New York and Los Angeles, CA. 

His work specializes in immersive stories that shine a light on issues of race, culture and what it means to belong. 

He recently produced Love in Gravity, a first-of-its-kind scripted audio series that dives into the lives of six queer Latino and Afro Latino identifying men and their experiences with family, identity and love. 

Jeff’s work has appeared regularly on publications including Vice News, Univision, and NBC. He’s recently worked with commercial clients Lyft, Levi’s and more. 

Jeff graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in journalism. He speaks regularly at his alma mater and mentors aspiring photographers in is hometown area of Southeast LA. 

He’s also a mentor and member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
